Ben Hogben BSc, MIC For, Dip Surv (rural) is a fully qualified Chartered Forester with almost 30 years’ experience of managing trees and farm woodlands in Norfolk having worked with local authorities, training organisations and the Forestry Commission.
Tree Surgery
We offer a full range of tree care and management services. All work is carried out to a minimum of British Standard BS3998:2010 ‘Tree Work Recommendations’. All staff and associates are fully trained, qualified and experienced.
Covering all aspects of tree care and surgery including:
Crown reductions to reduce shading or relieve stresses on weakened stems.
Remedial and corrective tree pruning to balance and improve crown development or remove damaged or diseased branches
Precision dismantling of dangerous trees or trees in confined spaces

Development Site Surveys to BS5837:2012 “Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction – Recommendations”
Local Planning Authorities require that trees are considered as part of planning applications and whether you are a developer, architect or planning consultant, we can provide you with the necessary tree reports to support your planning application. The preparation of tree reports and tree protection plans carried out prior to submission of the planning application, prevents expensive and time consuming delays and rejection of planning applications. A tree report may include:
Preliminary site visits and feasibility reports
Arboricultural Impact Assessments
Preparation of Arboricultural Method Statements
Tree Survey and Tree Protection Plans which can be supplied in a DWG AutoCAD format where an original DWG site plan has been provided
Bat roost investigation by fully licenced inspector
Planting design schemes
Provision of the final full report and plans in a pdf format, ready to submit in support of a planning application
On site arboricultural supervision, including site monitoring reports and record of compliance with conditions
